About
The Cover Trip project was an exciting opportunity to redefine how travelers purchase travel insurance. Partnering with SquareMouth, Cover Trip aimed to create a cutting-edge, user-centric solution that addressed key pain points in the quoting process. As the UX Designer leading the experience for this project, I was responsible for designing a seamless and intuitive interface that simplified the journey for users while aligning with the company’s vision for innovation. By combining thorough research, strategic thinking, and creative design, the project delivered a modern, frictionless experience that not only improved usability but also set a new standard in the travel insurance industry.

During the project, I took the lead in shaping the user experience by diving deep into research and testing. Through competitor analysis and user interviews, I uncovered critical insights into pain points, such as users abandoning the process due to outdated design and unnecessary steps like mandatory email sign-ups. These findings guided the creation of new user flows that prioritized simplicity and clarity. As I refined wireframes and prototypes, I collaborated closely with the Creative Director of Oxy and the CEO of the product to align the designs with their vision. By presenting data-driven insights and demonstrating the value of the proposed solutions, I secured their influence and buy-in, which became pivotal in driving the project forward. This collaborative approach ensured we were on the right path to delivering an intuitive, modern, and effective quoting experience.
The project concluded with a thoughtfully crafted design that delivered a seamless and modern quoting experience, meeting the needs of both the users and the business. The final solution was tested extensively across the company to ensure it addressed pain points and provided a truly intuitive journey for travelers. After implementation, I monitored the analytics to observe the positive impact of the new experience, including reduced abandonment rates and higher engagement. However, as this was a contract role, my involvement ended before I could continue overseeing its long-term performance. Despite this, the project remains a highlight of my career, showcasing how strategic UX design can drive meaningful results and elevate the user experience.
